- Performing engineering work in various engineering fields (water and wastewater treatment infrastructure to include pipelines and pump stations, engineering services, construction management) - Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects, permitting and alternative analysis - Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing - Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables - Data entry and analysis, participate in field activities such as site investigations, and pilot testing

- Assumes responsibilities for managing multi-disciplinary infrastructure programs with a high degree of technical and non-technical complexity. - Promotes alignment within the integrated consultant and client Program and Project teams through effective and regular communications. - Works directly with client staff, developing strong relationships, including external teaming partners, and internal technical resources. - Works with the Owner and Carollo program management team to develop program and project delivery approaches that meet the Owner’-specific needs. - Monitors and manages internal and external factors that influence a Program. - Plans and leads program initiation and implementation tasks. - Manages and leads both consultant and owner teams in the planning, design, and construction phases of large public infrastructure programs as the designated Program Manager. Accountable for timely completion of program and project milestones, as well as financial and quality performance - Manages program management office (PMO) teams associated with program controls (budget, schedule, and risk), regulatory compliance, land and right-of-way acquisition, public relations, and best practices in program and project delivery. - Assists owner teams in Capital Improvement Program (CIP) management, governance, and organizational structure development and consulting. - Evaluates staffing levels and training needs throughout the duration of the Program to meet Program/project needs and works with the Program Management Service Delivery Lead in securing resources required to deliver services specified in the contract scope with a focus on contract compliance. - Manages and mentors program and project staff to facilitate retention and professional development of a talented team. - Enforces Program quality control policy. - Participates in existing Carollo programs throughout North America to supplement the team’s expertise. - Advises and assists Carollo marketing teams and Client Service Managers on prospective and targeted pursuits related to Program Management services. - Assists in selected acquisition efforts for Program Management services, including positioning, development of Statement of Qualifications and Proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities (vary dependent upon hiring level):   Engineer-in-Training: - Serve as an engineer on the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects - Perform data entry and analysis - Perform system modeling and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities - Prepare cost estimates - Perform permitting and alternatives analysis - Prepare technical memoranda, reports, plans and specifications, and other deliverables - Perform engineering services during construction, including reviewing contractor submittals for conformance with contract documents contractor requests for information - Participate in field activities, such as site visits, overseeing field work, and pilot testing - Travel may be required depending on the project assignment but most projects are local.   Professional Engineer through Senior Engineer additional responsibilities could include: - Registration as a Professional Engineer - Experience delivering and managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects with partial responsibility for budget, schedule, contract obligations, and quality standards - Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints - Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work - May serve as project manager on small to medium sized projects and would assume all project manager responsibilities. - Assist project manager with the planning, scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing of the work of the project team, including: environmental, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/controls engineers; drafters, technicians; technical experts; and subconsultants - Assist project manager with meeting budget, schedule, and quality goals - Perform data analysis, system modeling, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities - Contribute to a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders - Develop and maintain relationships with clients, especially at the staff level - Assist with proposal preparation, including development of scopes of work and engineering fee estimates - Provide on-the-job training and mentoring of project staff and entry level engineers

Responsibilities (vary dependent upon hiring level):   EIT: - Serve as an engineer on the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water and wastewater treatment projects of various sizes - Perform data entry and analysis - Perform system modeling, process calculations, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities - Prepare cost estimates - Perform permitting and alternatives analysis - Prepare technical memoranda, reports, plans and specifications, and other deliverables - Perform engineering services during construction, including but not limited to reviewing contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluating requests for information - Participate in field activities, such as site visits, overseeing field work, and pilot testing - Travel may be required   P.E. through Senior Engineer additional responsibilities could include: - Serve as the technical lead on the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water and wastewater treatment projects of various sizes (small, medium, and large) - May serve as project manager on small to medium sized projects and would assume all project manager responsibilities - Participate in field activities, such as site visits and overseeing field work - Provide on-the-job training and mentoring of project staff and entry to mid-level engineers - Maintain a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders - Perform engineering services during construction, including but not limited to reviewing contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluating requests for information - Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients - Partner with local business development teams to identify project opportunities and assist with business development activities, including, but not limited to proposal preparation, scope and fee preparation, and interview participation - Coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments - Assist with proposal preparation, including development of project scopes and fees - Participate in field activities, such as site visits, overseeing field work, and pilot testing - Travel may be required

- Manages the successful execution of water and wastewater utility projects - Applies acute technical and project delivery knowledge to advise clients throughout the project life cycle and meet or exceed budget, schedule, and quality goals - Leads and oversees project teams in the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of projects of various sizes - Supervises and coordinates the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist with specific assignments - Prepares reports, technical memoranda, specifications, and cost estimates - Maintains a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders - Partners with local business development teams to identify project opportunities and assists with proposal preparation, including project scopes and cost estimates
