Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of industry-accepted asset management tools and techniques including asset management planning and gap assessments, asset inventory, condition and consequence-of-failure assessments, life-cycle cost analysis, O&M programs, and capital investment planning
- Supports the development and implementation of asset management plans and programs, including various combinations of client education, strategic planning, service level objectives, and risk modeling
- Must be able to evaluate utilities’ asset management activities, including asset inventories, technology support criticality, condition and remaining useful life, repair and renewal needs, and cost projections
- Must be able to provide recommendations for improved operations and maintenance practices, as well as supporting technology to minimize asset life cycle costs
- Experienced with the development of service levels, performance measures, and business process improvement initiatives
